The School Toolkit is a printable package designed to help kids ages 3-9 feel confident at school. It teaches them how to handle many common situations they’ll face while away from you, like being a good friend, problem-solving, using their strong voice, feeling confident being separated from you, and so much more.
The School Toolkit includes 2 parts:
Part One: Prep Plan is a 5-step plan to help your child start school with confidence and readiness (it’s helpful even if your child has already started school!) It covers getting to know their teacher, their school, routines, how to get to school, and how they can feel connected with you even while you’re apart.
Part Two: My Tools for School includes tools to support your child throughout the entire school year. It covers topics like friendship, separation, using their strong voice, problem-solving, and so much more. It also includes colourable worksheets, printable posters, love notes to give your child in their school lunch, and more!
This Toolkit is for You if:
You have a child starting school, and you want to prepare them for this big change so they feel confident meeting their teacher, making friends, and being away from you.
Your child doesn’t want to go to school. They cry, whine, and cling to your leg at drop-off. You want to help them feel brave and strong to go to school while keeping a strong bond with you.
Your child is worried about what school will look like, how it will feel to be on the bus, or what they will do if a friend is mean. You want to help your worried child feel confident when you aren’t right there.
